SOLS #1 Marching into the Challenge

SOLS #1 Marching into the Challenge

March has always been a month that I look forward to with fondness. March is a hopeful month. Little bits of green are poking out from beneath the shell of winter. March can roar like a lion one day and purr like a kitten the next.   March says goodbye to winter and sings a song of spring. And even though we have barely had a winter, I am already humming the tune of my favorite season.
For three years now, March is also the month that motivates the writer in me. Really it’s the community of writers gathered together by the “Two Writing Teachers”, Ruth and Stacey. Many thanks to these two amazing educators who orchestrate the March Slice of Life Writing Challenge. They truly inspire a network of writing camaraderie and enhance the lives of everyone who is involved. Wow, the community is growing. I better catch up on my grading and other schoolwork, so I have time to settle in for some blog reading. The number of participants is amazing. I also can’t wait to check out the slices from my fourth grade writers. March, what surprises do you have waiting for us?

  4. March is such a fickle month, it can't decide if it belongs to winter or spring. The challenge makes it a month to enjoy.

  5. Thank you, your words are kind. I, too, am floored by the number of people participating. (And my husband is starting to murmur that maybe we should go to bed before I finish commenting on everyone's first slice.)
    Happy writing,
    Ruth
